The 58th October Salon | Belgrade Biennale 2020 announces event postponement to Summer 2021

The opening of the 58th October Salon | Belgrade Biennale, one of the most important cultural events in the Balkan area, scheduled for 16 October 2020, has been postponed to Summer 2021 due to the actions necessary to contain the spread of Covid-19.

The 58th October Salon | Belgrade Biennale will open next year with a renewed project signed by the Italian curators Ilaria Marotta and Andrea Baccin and will feature over 50 artists from all over the world

The new dates and the new exhibition venues will be announced soon

The global spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is leading to new and necessary forms of containment, and in some cases to repeated lockdowns, has led the Belgrade city authorities to decide to postpone to Summer 2021 the 58th October Salon I Belgrade Biennale 2020, which had been scheduled to open on October 16, 2020.

The Cultural Center of Belgrade, which has been supporting the project even during these difficult times, believes, in agreement with the curators Ilaria Marotta and Andrea Baccin, that the decision to postpone the project to 2021 was the one that best ensured the safety of the artists and public, and the success of the event itself.

The 58th October Salon I Belgrade Biennale entitled THE DREAMERS will therefore take place in 2021 in a renewed version, which will also take into account the exceptional experience we are all living. The new dates and the new exhibition venues will be announced soon.
